Introspection & Inspiration

Texas Choral Consort’s 2006 Midwinter Choral Symposium celebrated the introspection and inspiration of the beautiful Requiem settings of Gabriel Fauré(1845-1924) and Maurice Duruflé (1902-1986).  The Texas Choral Consort brough in the New Year with a special sense of excited anticipation, welcoming Maestro Peter Bay of the Austin Symphony Orchestra as guest conductor for the Rutter edition of Fauré’s Requiem. The Third Edition of Duruflé's Requiem was conducted by our own Dr. Barry Scott Williamson.
