Prior
to Texas Choral Consort's overseas trip to Wales and England in July 2006, it
gave a special preview concert for Austin audiences of its trip
repertoire. The first half of the program was a presentation of Mozart's Requiem
(with organ accompaniment) which was followed in the second half by an exciting mix of a cappella and accompanied
pieces including: Placido e il mar (Mozart), Lord of the Dance (arr. Barry
Williamson), Down in the Valley (arr. George Mead), and several spirituals such
as Ain't Got Time to Die (arr. Hall Johnson).
